Before joining Bayer in 2016 Ralf spent over 20 years in a number of senior operations and supply chain roles at the industrial and consumer giant; Henkel.
Alessandro is responsible for the entire global supply chain planning, physical distribution, artwork management, logistics, customer service and supply networking globally for Merck Group. With more than 20 years in the FMCG industry, Alessandro brings a unique insight in how pharma can learn from other industries to drive change and innovation in pharma supply chain strategies.
Craig is responsible for Supply Chain Management for MSD's operations on a global scale; leading the ongoing end to end transformation for one of the world's largest pharma producers and based out of MSD's headquarters in New Jersey.
Dan currently leads the global supply chain function for TEVA Pharmaceuticals; the world's largest generics producer and one of the world's largest pharma cos. Prior to this Dan was SVP of Operations for Teva's API and Biologics business. Prior to Teva Dan held a variety of senior operational roles whilst working at MSD for over 26 years. He has been instrumental in global operations’ role in Teva’s ongoing turnaround.
Susanne Hundsbæk-Pedersen joined Novo Nordisk in 2002 and has since then been holding positions as head of Procurement, Divisional CFO for Global Product Supply and IT before taking up her current position as Senior Vice President of Devices & Supply Chain Management. Susanne is responsible for the global end-to-end Supply Chain Management operations ranging from the procurement function across manufacturing planning and the distribution to 70 global affiliates serving 170 countries. Furthermore, Susanne is responsible for manufacturing development of assembly and packaging operations across the global sites. Her organisation bridges efforts in R&D with Operations in order to ensure efficient ramp-up and optimisation of the device manufacturing processes and the packaging operation. This includes precision plastic moulding operation and needle manufacturing operation with a global reach across US, Brazil, Europe and China.Novo Nordisk Contract manufacturing set-up and local manufacturing resides within Susanne’s area of responsibility which includes factories in Japan, Russia, Algeria and a number of partnership set-ups in multiple countries. Susanne is a member on the Supply Chain Advisory Group to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Jesus Corchero is currently the Head of Europe Technical Operations for STADA. Prior to this he was Head of Tech Ops European Cluster for Novartis where he had overall responsibility for European operations network (Manufacturing and Supply) at Novartis which encompasses ten (10) manufacturing operations plants across Europe and all the global support functions supporting the network. Together they represent about 6,000 employees.
Colin has recently been leading the supply chain and manufacturing program focusing around Brexit for Pfizer. He has been with the organisation for over fifteen years, with the last nine of these being spent within network performance and strategy. Prior this he worked as a site leader and senior director in operations. Colin has over 30 years of industry experience.
Anne Marie currently leads all technical operations for SOBI, based in Stockholm, having joined in 2018. Prior ot SOBI, she as Vice President Global Supply Chain Operations & Strategic Partnerships at Biogen and led functions such as Network Planning, Manufacturing Strategy, Manufacturing Logistics, Materials Management, Process excellence, Project Management, ERP Business Process Management, MDM, Data Analytics and Reporting. She is also accountable for performance and revenue creation of Biogen’s Strategic Partnerships in Development and Manufacturing. Throughout her career in Life Sciences, she has been heading international functions ranging from Supply Chain, Internal & External Manufacturing, Quality and EHS to Healthcare Compliance.
Frank heads up the supply chain globally at Santen, a specialized pharmaceutical company focusing on ophthalmics, headquartered in Osaka, Japan. He is based in Geneva, while reporting directly into the Osaka senior leadership. His mission is transforming Santen’s world wide Supply Chain, enabling Santen to globalize its business from its dominant position in the Japanese market, to rapid growth in Europe, Asia and Americas. His overall approach is to link the regional SCM teams into a truly global organization, and implement efficient global processes and systems, while launching new products at global level and expanding to new markets. Frank oversees a team of over 70 Supply Chain professionals, who are based in Japan, Europe and Singapore. With Santen’s rapid geographical expansion, and its portfolio consisting of mostly high volume Rx, and also of OTC products, it is Franks priority to ensure that the Supply Chain organization delivers significant value to the company, and is recognized as a key business partner to the commercial and financial organizations. Josh holds responsibility for leadership of global warehousing, transportation, trade compliance, and inter-company customer service departments, based out of Ireland. Prior to Zoetis he held a variety of senior supply chain and logistics roles for Energizer.
Peter currently leads technical operations at DalCor Pharma; a precision medicine producer focusing upon the cardiovascular space. He also leads supply chain activities for biosimilars at Richter Gedeon. Peter has over 30 years' experience within the industry with roles including EVP Global Technical Operations for Finox Biotech, a twenty year period with Roche, including GLoval Supply Chain Leader, a senior consultant with Suter & Suter, and 7 years' experince with ABB.
Ann recently joined Morphosys to lead the commercialisation efforts of the company's first product to market, following a strategy shift within the organisation to start developing their own products and diversify from traditional CR&D activities. Ann has a vast body of experience in pharma supply chain, having been President of the Business Unit for Schreiner MediPharma and VP International Supply chain at Amgen, amongst other roles.
Stephan Gotthardt is the Senior Vice President Supply Chain Europe at Teva Pharmaceuticals. He has a strong international portfolio of (end-to-end) supply chain, operations and general management experience, with proven performance in global, strategic and cross-functional projects.Stephan has demonstrated success in several change management initiatives on local and global scale, fundamental re-design of product launch and life cycle processes, restructuring of supply chains, establishment of a customer-centric mindset.
Jason currently leads all global supply chain and external manufacturing for Amicus Therapeutics; a biotechnology company at the forefront of advanced therapies for rare and orphan diseases. He has held the role of VP Global Supply Chain for over three years with the company, Prior to Amicus he spent over 18 years with Genzyme, with roles including Head of Commercial Supply Chain and Site Operations Director.
Alain is a Supply Chain Management Executive with 25 years of experience in leading FMCG (Coca-Cola), Humanitarian (ICRC), Specialty Chemicals (AkzoNobel) and Pharma (Merck) companies. At MSD he is leading a supply chain planning team of 125 employees and responsible for demand, supply & life cycle management of all pharmaceutical products from active ingredients to market distribution centers.
Andrea currently leads all supply chain management activities for established medicines as well as optha at Novartis. He has been with the organisation for over seven years in various supply chain leadership roles. Prior to Novartis he worked at GKN Aerospace & GKN Drive line in a range of project management, and continuous improvement positions.
Christian works as a VP leading the global enterprise business transformation program for TEVA, where he is responsible for driving the global unification of finance, operations and commercial processes with supply chain and planning processes. He has also been pivotal in delivering the significant change management initiatives required to deliver this project on a global scale.
Joerg currently heads the Global Warehousing Team at Bayer with a network of > 500 warehouses across all divisions, in collaboration with business units, cross-functional teams and external partners. He is responsible for global cross-divisional network optimization initiatives designed to improve service levels, optimize costs and deliver unique solutions that result in a better life for customers and patients. Prior to Bayer he was VP Global Procurement Warehousing & Distribution at Novartis, spent over 5 years with Alcon, and worked for distribution specialists including K&N and Dacotrans.
Damon Reid is currently the Supply Chain & Logistics, Global Head of Performance and Innovation at Zoetis. Key responsibilities in this role include ownership of the Project Management Office, Master Data Governance, Work Process Improvement and Technical Communities of Practice. With over 15 years’ experience in a variety of supply chain roles, in fields including Strategy, Process Improvement, Program Management, Engineering, and Operations. Coupled with this practical experience is a combination of advanced studies in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Lean Management, and Six Sigma Process Improvement. Responsible for designing, implementing and sustaining multiple large-scale transformation programs in the areas of Operations, Engineering, Supply Planning, Continuous Improvement and Strategy Development and Deployment. Currently running the “self-driving supply chain” program for Zoetis SCL. An effective communicator, team leader, and mentor, a creative problem-solver who consistently applies a structured loss elimination approach.
Arie is responsible for advancing the Planning Maturity, within Global Surgery, the second largest segment within J&J. Arie focuses on establishing benchmark planning processes, strategy development and driving innovation, leading his global team across 12 locations worldwide, and Under his remit, highly successfully strategies and processes have been implemented to translate customer needs into innovative Supply Chain Capabilities. Arie will be speaking on the Data analytics roundable at 17:20 on day 1 - Wednesday April 26th.
Karine’s main goal through her role is to develop Supply Chain Data Analytics globally at Baxter. She and her team represent a Supply Chain center of excellence that supports the organization as a whole in some particular area of focus such as a profitability improvement, cost reduction, service level improvement or supply chain transformation. Karine has identified the importance of focusing on improving service and financial inefficiencies in logistics (Flows and DCs Optimization) and applies this in Network Optimization studies in all regions. She is also regularly involved in mergers, acquisitions and divestiture initiatives from a Supply Chain stand point as a project manager.
Mirko joined Pfizer in 2007 in the Market Logistics Italy team. In August 2008, he relocated to the European Logistics Centre in Belgium, where he held several roles and achieved his Six-Sigma Black Belt certification. He joined the Business Solutions team in 2011 and took its leadership in 2014. After moving to London, where he is currently based, his responsibilities expanded since March 2015 to become Director of the Network Solutions & Excellence Team in EMEA, part of the Global Supply Chain, External Supply and Portfolio Management organisation..Mirko holds a Master's Degree in Business Economics from Università degli Studi di Salerno (Italy). Prior to joining Pfizer, Mirko worked as a Business Analyst at EuroGroup Consulting.
Simona currently leads all transportation efforts across the EU for TEVA; one of the largest networks in the industry. Prior to this, she was Associate Director of TEVA's transportation centre and also worked as an Associate Director of International Frieght & Compliance. Prior to TEVA, Simona held a number of significant roles in supply chain and sales at multinational companies including ALC, Agrana, GSK, Kaven Orbico and Procter & Gamble.
Thomas is leading the development and growth of Xelia Pharmaceuticals US Commercial Operations consisting of market access, contracting, pricing, sales operations, new product launches and customer planning and logistics activities. This includes developing short and long-term business execution and strategies to support revenue and share growth by maximizing a strong existing portfolio and accelerating upcoming new product launches. Prior to Xelia he spent 15 years at Pfizer and 7 years at Heineken.
Rainer currently leads all logistics, foreign trade and mobility for Boehringer Ingelheim; a position he has held for over six years. He has been with BI for over 15 years, in various senior supply chain, systems and governance roles. Prior to BI he held senior roles with leading suppliers Swisslog and AFE Technologies.
Philippe leads all sourcing activities for Lilly's worldwide Logistics and Distribution networks (end-to-end supply chain including manufacturing and domestic distribution) - Lilly Pharma and Elanco Animal Health and has been with the organisation for over 9 years. Prior to this he worked for 12 years in project management roles in the automotive industry.
Jonathan is the global category manager for supply chain procurement at Roche, and leads EEMEA activities for the company, based out of Basel. Prior to this he managed GDP and compliance activities for DSTC. He has been with Roche for over four years, having previously spent almost 13 years with Panalpina in a number of senior roles, including Business Unit Head of Air Freight.
Since mid-2015, Ludovic Ménédème has joined the UCB Global Supply Chain Leadership Team as Head of Global Distribution, Customer service and Commercial relationships. His more than 20 years of experience in Leadership and Supply chain management, mainly at BAXTER then at ZOETIS, are in the areas of warehousing and transportation, distribution processes and governance, logistics vendors and key account management, cost and profitability analysis, network design, demand and forecasting, production planning, S&OP and finally on working capital and inventory management. He has been several times awarded by the Industry for recognized achievements in project management, supply chain team management, environmental health & safety and innovation in transport and logistics. Ludovic holds an MBA in Industrial Management and an Engineering degree in electro-mechanics. Current focus: Open for business collaboration (combined/integrated supply chain effectiveness) and always looking to improve/develop processes with logistics providers and Customers.
Jens, Head of Global Supply Chain Management, is responsible for the global operative Supply Chain of BI’s Human Pharma Division including Supply & Inventory Planning, Inter-Company Customer Service, Artwork Management and Launch/Transfer Management. He currently focus to transform the supply chain into a high performance, digitized network to support the ambition 2025 of Boehringer Ingelheim. Jens graduated with a diploma in Business Information Technology from the University of Mannheim and started his career with SAP before joining Boehringer Ingelheim in 2006.
Alvine works in the development of strategies, goals and initiatives of both the Global Women's COuncil and the Diversity & Inclusion Council for Europe at Pfizer, working closely with the organisation's business leaders across the continent to develop and implement diversity strategies. She has worked at Pfizer for over 11 years.
Caroline has over 23 years of experience within GSK's supply chain, with roles covering planning, supply chain transformation and manufacturing & supply strategy. She currently leads the manufacturing and supply Brexit programme for the UK's largest producer.
Steve currently leads a National Accounts team for Eagle Pharma in the US focusing on acute treatment for the rare Malignant Hyperthermia, and breaching the Oncology infusion space. Responsibilities for all Acute and Specialty GPO's, Distributors, and US Wholesalers. Prior to Eagle Steve was Snr Director of Global Trade Operations at Horizon and has held several strategic accounts and trade roles at Novartis, The Medicines Company, Cardinal and Convatec.
Tamas Masztis is Senior Director, EU Supply Chain at Kite Pharma EU B.V., based in The Netherlands. He recently built up one of the first cell therapy Supply Chain Teams in Europe and successfully completed the launch of YesCarta, Kite Pharma’s genetically modified autologous T cell immunotherapy. Tamas has 20+ years of Supply Chain, Logistics and Procurement experience working with blue chip pharma companies as Gilead/Kite Pharma, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer. Tamas Masztis holds a Master degree in Finance and Marketing from Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary. Tamas is a Certified Purchasing Manager from ISM, US and is 6 Sigma Green Belt certified.
Anders is the global head of logistics for Xelia Pharmaceuticals, based out of Copenhagen. Prior to this he has held a number of senior operations roles across management consultancy, technology and medical devices. He has over 15 years of cross-industry experience.
Nigel currently leads all compliance and inspection readiness activities for Sanofi's combination products business, based in Normandy, France. Prior to Sanofi Nigel has a 30+ year body of experience in quality and compliance across the industry, including tenures at DHL Life Sciences (helping to set up the life sciences logistics unit), Roche, MSD, AstraZeneca and Norgine amongst others.
Klaus currently directs all supply chain operations of the global Elanco external manufacturing network, based out of Basel, Switzerland. Prior to its acquisition by Eli Lilly he was Head of Global Supply Chain for Novartis Animal Health for one year, and held a number of senior supply chain roles within both Sandoz and Novartis over a 12 year period. Klaus began his career at Warner Lambert / Pfizer, where he worked for 8 years, with a stint spent focusing upon SAP consulting in the early 00's.
Jeroen currently leads a support function for technical and projects within GSK's vaccines division. In this role he spearheads the evaluation of different transport modes and technologies, in order to best prepare temperature controlled distribution for operations and logistics. He has Been with GSK for over 12 years. Prior to GSK Jeroen worked within QA at Sanofi.
Piero is heading commercial operations of the Hospital and Oncology business units at Sandoz Germany and Hexal AG. Prior to that he has been directly responsible for managing the supply chain for Sandoz Germany and Hexal AG.
He is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working across different executive level roles in the pharmaceutical industry where he has been leading change, establishing a high performance culture and strengthening customer-centricity on local and regional level - from operations to commercial. He has a strong entrepreneurial growth mindset, a broad scope & digital skillset and profound experiences in various environments from mature to emerging markets.
Damien leads distribution for the EMEA regions at Abbvie, having worked with the organisation for over six years in a variety of demand and distribution roles. Prior to Abbvie he worked at Abbott in a number of technological and operational roles, for over eight years.
Amelie Stoverock graduated with a German licentiate degree as Diplom Volkswirtin in Business Administration and Economics in 2003. She has been working in Pharma Supply Chain in various roles since leaving the university. During the past two years she mainly focused on building and maintaining strategic supply chain relationships with suppliers and customers. She also spent the last year at the US site in California where she supported the ongoing integration of the Supply Chain teams in Switzerland and the US.
Antje implemented the new demand planning process and system at Takeda for EUCAN; a role she has held over 2 1/2 years. Prior to Takeda she held several senior S&OP and demand planning roles in FMCG; first at Procter & Gamble and then at Mars.
Patrycja has over 10 years global experience in Global Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics & Distribution and Project Management within FMCG, Commodity Trading and Pharmaceutical industries, with key focus on supply chain process and lean strategy implementation across business segments. In her current role at Takeda she is responsible for global supply chain programs implementation.
Jan has more than 15 years of expertise within Demand and Supply Planning areas and related commercial business processes as S&OP and IBP (Integrated Business Planning). In addition to his role as Director of Global Demand Planning, he is also a member of the global capabilities hub at BMS, which enhances the business across multiple functions to create value for patients.
Sharon has established a global function for strategic planning, business analytics and end to end visibility for TEVA, designing global planning processes, forecast & monitoring for Distribution Centers and transportation for the company, as well as managing interfaces and joint initiatives with Global Supply Chain. He has been with TEVA for over 11 years in a range of senior operations roles. Prior to TEVA Sharon worked at Intel and Manpower.
Managing partner and one of the founders of EyeOn. Graduated Econometrics at Tilburg University. Over 20 years of experience in analysing, improving and changing planning and control processes. Responsible for improvement projects within Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Philips Health Care, GlaxoSmithKline, Össur, Stryker, DSM, Astellas, St Jude Medical, Mediq, Allergan, Dräger Medical, ASML, TomTom, MSD Animal Health, NXP and Heineken. For a period of 3 years he was financial controller for the Audio and New Business within Philips Consumer Electronics. As chairman of the Life Science Network, he has worked with many companies within the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Industry.
In his role, Bram is an expert in designing, testing and implementing various APS planning systems, with experience as project leader for customers in the Pharmaceutical industry. In addition he has completed projects and quick scans on S&OP reporting, R&D planning, inventory management and supply chain planning. Furthermore Bram has experience in high level supply chain planning in the Pharmaceutical industry, coordinating an international network of four production sites, as well as taking care of logistic engineering projects. Bram is also an active contributor to the Life Science Network.
Joseph has over 20 years of experience in supply chain, technical operations and strategic sourcing including five years as VP supply chain operations at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and senior roles at Afaxys, QRx Pharma, Novartis, Chiron and BMS.
Steve is currently Global Technology Leader for Transport Protection at DuPont, where he and his team work collaboratively with industry partners, applying science to real-world cargo handling problems so that pharmaceutical producers can deliver medicines to patients safely and cost effectively, within the regulatory and practical constraints of pharmaceutical cold-chain logistics. Steve is also a member of the IATA Time & Temperature Working Group, helping to keep air-freight regulations up to date with evolving technology and to promote best practices in the industry.
Kasper leads supply chain planning and management of GDP complaint assurance activities for LEO's distribution network on a global scale. This includes the compilation and maintenance of distribution KPIs for the organisation. Prior to LEO Kasper was a quality and coordination roles at Indesit and IMA-BUD Development.
Zrinka has extensive experience in biotech, pharma industry and research. Mainly experienced in technical operations and supply chain management spanning 16 years. Prior to Fresenius Kabi she was Head of Supply Chain at Finox Biotech and held several senior roles at Roche.
Robin leads all logistics and distribution activities for Vifor Pharma on a global scale, having moved into the role from a senior supply chain planning and execution role within the organisation. Prior to Vifor he spend over five years in the medical device industry in a range of customer services and global export roles.
Pietro currently leads all logistics and end to end strategic planning for P&G, having been with the company for over 23 years. Former roles at the FMCG giant include Global COrporate Manufacturing Director and Global Pet Care Supply Chain Director.
Reikert is a senior GMP and GDP inspector with the Dutch Health Inspectorate and has seen the regulatory landscape and the industry develop considerably having spent over 22 years in the role. He is also a member of the GDP drafting group for the EMA and was previously chair of the PIC/S GDP working group for the pharmaceutical inspection cooperation scheme.
Bill spent seven years as a Director of LOCOG, the Organising Committee for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with responsibility for Ceremonies, Torch Relay, Culture, Education and Live Sites. He was awarded the Olympic Order of Merit in 2012. He is also an Independent Advisor in UK Government and a Trustee/Non-Exec Director/Ambassador in a number of national and international not-for-profit organisations.
Claudia brings over 25 years of experience in supply chain and external manufacturing from Ciba Vision, Biogen, InterMune, and Roche, in Germany, France and Switzerland. Her first experience with orphan drugs supply chain was with InterMune. Within three years she successfully established their European distribution network and ensured supply chain readiness for the launch of ESBRIET in 15 countries . When InterMune was acquired by Roche in 2014, Claudia played a key role in the integration of the supply chain and then joined Roche's External Manufacturing team in Materials Management. Claudia’s key focus in her current role at Ultragenyx is to design and establish the commercial distribution network in Europe for Mepsevii, the first and only enzyme replacement therapy for mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS VII, Sly syndrome).
With extensive cross-sector experience, over the past six years Alan has been focused on bringing best-collaboration practice to pharma-logistics. He is a supply chain consultant specialising in supply chain dynamics and is founder and Executive Director of Pharma TEAM-UP, a non-profit initiative with the goal of fostering closer supply chain integration. He is one of the principal architects behind the Poseidon program, which has been conceived to radically transform the transportation of pharmaceutical products by sea. This is being achieved through the application of contemporary supply chain best-practice and structured, multi-party collaboration. He regularly presents on this topic and has authored numerous papers.
Arjan leads global QA activities for AbbVie's global supply chain and commercial operations on a global scale, based out of Zwolle in the Netherlands. He has been with AbbVie for 6 years, in various senior QA roles. Prior to AbbVie Arjan worked in a range of senior QA, logistics and production roles within Abbott Laboratories and Abbott Nutrition.
Gert-Jan is responsible for Supply Chain Integrity programs including Track & Trace, Serialization, Supply Chain Visibility, Medical Device tracking and Supply Chain Security within Global Supply Chain Quality AbbVie, based at AbbVie Logistics (VLOG) office in Zwolle, The Netherlands. Prior to his five years at AbbVie he spent 7 years at Abbott within distribution QA.
Tommy is a highly experienced logistics and distribution focused supply chain leader, driving the logistics activity across the EMEA regions for Allergan. Prior to working at Allergan Tommy worked in a number of other industries including an extended period of time in supply chain for Microsoft.
Thomas De Bie was appointed CEO of CAPPI on 1 February 2016. His early career was spent in sales and marketing and spearheaded CAPPI’s European expansion. He holds a Master of Science in International Business. Dutch from origin, Thomas lives and works in France since 2006.
Enrica is a native of Milan, Italy, where she graduated in Languages and Foreign Literature. She is a known name within Air France KLM Cargo, where she spend her entire career. Starting in KLM Cargo in Italy within Customer Service environment, she moved with her family to Spain, in the position of Market Manager for Iberian Peninsula from 2011 to 2014. She moved to the Netherlands in summer 2014, at the Headquarters of Air France KLM Cargo, as Key Account Director for the main customers of the group. Since September 2017, she is in the role of Global Head of Pharmaceutical Logistics, bringing her field knowledge, customers’ relations and outside-in approach. Mother of a sixteen year old teenager, she keeps up to date with technology to keep pace with her son.
Markus is a Managing Director at Accenture Strategy. He works with major Life Sciences companies around the globe to shape and transform their supply chain and manufacturing operating models, optimize their operations and to exploit digital opportunities. He leads Accenture's Strategy practice of Life Sciences Industry in DACH and Russia and drives the thinking around differentiated supply chains and digital operations for the Pharma and Medtech industries.
Dr. Madhav Durbha is the Group Vice President of Industry Strategy at LLamasoft, where his team helps customers solve various supply chain challenges. Prior to his role at LLamasoft, Dr. Durbha held positions at Kinaxis, JDA Software and i2 Technologies, Inc. She has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, and the US; her most recent role was Worldwide VP, Customer and Logistics Services for Johnson & Johnson, leading global logistics and customer service operations across more than 70 countries. She also served as President for Johnson & Johnson Health Care Services and on the board of J&J’s Global Public Health organization. Externally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Voxware and on the Board of Advisors for Elementum. She had previously served on the GS1 US Board of Governors, leading the board Technology committee.
