Wawi Kantz

Former Director, Enterprise AI Adoption and Enablement, Pfizer Independent Consultant
Wawi Kantz believes AI can be a force for good, if it is used purposefully, responsibly, and with humans firmly in the loop, because she has done the hard work of making it so. Over 15 years at Pfizer, rising to Director of Enterprise AI Adoption and Enablement, she worked at the frontlines of AI transformation in one of the world’s most regulated industries. She built a global network of hundreds of AI Champions, co-created Pfizer’s enterprise Responsible AI framework, helped establish the Pfizer AI Council, and led AI adoption across functions, geographies, and strict compliance environments. This experience taught her what actually works when ambition meets operational reality. Today, as an independent AI transformation sparring partner and ISG Women in Digital Award winner, Wawi challenges productivity-obsessed AI narratives. She argues that AI is neither good nor bad by default. Its impact depends on whether organizations are willing to do the unglamorous work of integrating it strategically, operationally, humanly, and culturally.
