Jose Enrique Ballester Castro

Global Supply Chain Centre of Excellence Lead Sanofi
I was born in Valencia, and after accumulating international experience in England and the U.S., I’m now back home — bringing a global perspective to every challenge I take on. I’m a seasoned Supply Chain leader with 20+ years of experience across multinational environments. Today, I contribute to Sanofi’s transformation journey, driving global supply excellence and supporting end‑to‑end orchestration across a broad industrial network. My background spans manufacturing, planning, logistics, integration of new capabilities, and coaching teams to execute with clarity and purpose. [ems-summit.com] What motivates me is turning complexity into simplicity: aligning processes, data, and people to create supply chains that are resilient, connected, and ready for the future. Having lived and worked abroad shaped my mindset—open, analytical, adaptable—and strengthened my passion for building international, cross‑functional collaboration. As the youngest of two siblings, I grew up learning to navigate challenges with curiosity, humility, and a strong drive to improve. These values continue to guide both my leadership style and my approach to continuous learning. I’m especially passionate about: Large‑scale supply chain transformation Data‑driven decision‑making and AI‑enabled planning Developing teams and fostering collaborative cultures Making operations more reliable, predictable, and efficient Always open to meaningful conversations about supply chain, innovation, and how to turn strategy into real impact.
