Andy Faes has an extensive and wide-ranging career within all sectors of the Healthcare logistics business, in excess of 25 years. Andy provides insight in supply chain logistics, quality management, procurement plus general and temperature controlled freight and storage across the globe with a unique combination of practical and theoretical Global implementation of GDP and ISO13485 guidelines in Air, Ocean, Warehousing and Trucking. Andy’s role encompassesresponsibility for 100 offices across Europe working with over 500 Healthcare and medical devices companies including development of products and services, training modules and commercial engagements. In 2014 Andy assumed his current position at Expeditors offices in Brussels, Belgium where he is primarily responsible for developing and managing the company’s Healthcare Vertical for Europe. Andy started his logistical career in 1999 with American Airlines in various commercial roles for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Andy moved to London in 2007 to join their Cargo Division for EMEA and becoming chairman of American Airlines Cargo Sales Advisory Board. In 2009 Andy set up AA Cargo Temperature Controlled Services EPXTC for the region, training 3,000 colleagues towards GDP compliance. In 2011 Andy was transferred back to Belgium where he joined Envirotainer in a global role to manage a portfolio of Global Partners and Shippers by creating viable and sustainable logistics partnerships. A speaker of 5 languages, IATA CEIV certified and Licensed GDP trainer and auditor, part of IATA’s HCWG and Pharma.Aero Adisory Board, Andy graduated from Thomas More University Belgium with a degree in Supply Chain Management. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys tennis, running, cycling and yoga as well as spending time with his wife and two young kids.
