How Roche is Deploying Digital Supply Chain Planning
As the world’s largest biotech company, Roche has a responsibility to make sure it sets an example to others in the industry at all levels of its operations. To further this goal, it has recently deployed OMP’s digital supply chain planning solution.
The lead model solution provided by OMP covers every aspect of supply chain planning – from distribution planning, master production planning, detailed scheduling, and material requirements planning, to packaging materials and finished goods.
The powerful technology and state of the art solvers included in the platform can include diverse factors such as shelf-life, regulatory approval status, and capacities to create digital supply chain strategies and plans which are both optimised and resilient.
“Building our end-to-end planning capabilities on OMP allows us to integrate planning – horizontally, across supply chain, commercial, manufacturing and finance departments, and vertically from the reactive to the strategic horizon,” said Steffen Heinecke, Project Lead for Global Supply Chain at Roche. “With this, we can take advantage of digital modelling and scenario planning capabilities, and respond quickly to changing business environments, such as we have seen during the pandemic this year.”
