AstraZeneca Launches its 2022 Supply Chain Apprenticeship Program

The last two years have seen AstraZeneca go from pharmaceutical heavyweight to household name thanks to its production and distribution of one of the two primary COVID-19 vaccines being deployed around the world.

Now to help it meet the challenges of pharmaceutical supply chains in the post pandemic world, AstraZeneca is looking to recruit and train the next generation of forward-thinking and innovative supply chain professionals.

“The Supply Chain Apprenticeship Programme brings innovation from our science labs to patients, touching every part of the business,” says AstraZeneca on its landing page for the scheme. “We support teams every step of the way and help turn our most ambitious goals into reality. You will be offered a unique opportunity to gain experience and work in a Global company alongside industry experts and have the opportunity to work towards a professional qualification.”

The apprenticeship lasts for four years and will see candidates supporting AstraZeneca across all key therapeutic areas and projects in all phases of their development lifecycle and manufacturing and comes with a host of additional rewards including lifestyle and comprehensive health benefits, and pension, insurance, and financial plans. Applications for the September 2022 intake are due to open sometime during January.
